Term Employment Opportunity: May to September 2025
Northback is a Canadian company focused on the development of the Grassy Mountain steelmaking coal project in Crowsnest Pass, Alberta. We are seeking someone who is passionate and motivated to join our Community Relations department in Crowsnest Pass for the 2025 summer/fall season. This role provides an excellent opportunity to develop skills in public engagement and communications while making a meaningful impact in the community. This 40-hour/week term position reports to the Manager Community Relations. Please note that this position requires work on Saturdays.
SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
•Lead guided site tours, providing visitors with educational and engaging experiences.
•Collect feedback from community members and tour participants.
•Engage with community members while promoting the Northback Grassy Mountain project.
•Assist in executing community engagement initiatives.
•Perform administrative tasks related to community engagement activities.
•Support the planning and execution of key internal and external events, including run of show, briefs, event logistics, video and photography prep, post-event surveys and more.
•Create and develop compelling content - including social media posts, stories, newsletters and website updates - to engage key audiences.
•Research and write content for internal and external audiences, including articles, key messages and briefing notes.

REQUIREMENTS
•Must have a Class 5 Driver’s License with a clean driver’s abstract.
