Our scheduling team in our Supply, Trading and Optimization (ST&O) group is looking for someone to help ensure refined products are delivered to sales and distribution points in an effective and efficient manner. Minimum Requirements:
•Comprehensive knowledge of commodity logistics, pipeline, and transportation requirements
•Exceptional planning, contingency development skills; short and long term industry intelligence
•An understanding of commodity market positioning
•Knowledge of trade capture, scheduling, risk management and logistics systems.
•Superior analytical, quantitative skills and accounting acumen
•Strong written and verbal communication skills
•The flexibility and willingness to address challenges in supporting scheduling activities during off-peak hours under changing market and logistical conditions
•A collaborative self-starter with an ability to multi-task in a dynamic work environment while providing guidance and direction to the broader organization
Responsibilities:
•Manage the monthly nomination process for refined products purchases and sales, including communication with third party pipeline operation groups, internal rail and marine groups, and counterparty trade confirmations
•Responsible for the oversight of daily scheduling and pipeline/terminal balancing by maintaining a comprehensive delivery and injection schedules in order to track and manage the timing of refined products volumes and manage inventories at our terminals and producing assets.
•Develop strategic relationships with external terminals and exchange partners, terminal operators and key logistic provides.
•Work with your team to maintain terminal inventories, pipeline, truck rail and marine flows, monthly production forecasting, and stewardship feedback for the analytics group
•Ensure regulatory compliance reports are completed for customs reporting and SOX audit requirements
•Liaise with your team in working with the marketers and terminal operational staff to optimize products movements and solve strategic and operational limitations relating to movements between our various Production and Refining assets as well as our customers
•Oversee the capture of month-end data within our trading management system certifying that volumes are accurate and allocated to the proper contracts to minimize accrual to actual variances and maintain the reporting integrity of our physical positions and financial exposures
•Provide broad logistical support and expertise on various ST&O initiatives and project work streams.
•Delivers guidance and influence in developing new processes, procedures and practices to support evolving business

•You will work out of our Calgary head office, located in the Suncor Energy Centre at 150 – 6th Ave S.W.
•This is an office-based role, hours of work are a regular 40-hour work week, Monday to Friday
