We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Commissioning Engineer to join our team at K&A Engineering in Fort Worth,Texas. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on exciting and challenging projects that make a real impact in the energy and utility sectors. Role Expectations:

•

Review proposed control cabinet design prior to installation. Ensure proposed design will be functional and per site and constellation corporate engineering requirements.

•

Assist and attend Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) for the new control cabinet provided by Hitachi.

•

Ensure new control cabinet wiring is compatible and matches the existing controls and alarms for the site. Ensure connection between the new transformer instrumentation to the existing transformer controls and site protection relays.

•

Verify the existing wiring for controls and protections and verify the proposed new design is compatible with the existing.

•

Review drawings and provide the site with As Built drawings after installation with markups if needed.

•

Provide oversite during the installation of the control cabinet as needed.

•

Promote a proactive safety culture by encouraging open communication, reporting unsafe conditions, and suggesting improvements to safety practices.

•

Diligently ensure compliance with safety regulations, conducting safety inspections, and identifying potential hazards to mitigate risks and maintain a safe working environment for all personnel.

What we’re looking for:

•

Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field

•

Excellent knowledge of construction maintenance and testing of electrical equipment.

•

Specialized advanced training is also required (e.g. PTI. WPI, ECNE PUI, a graduate level engineering degree).

•

Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (i.e. Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)

•

Experience in relay protection and control systems preferred

•

Experience in SCADA preferred

•

Experience working in Power Generation Facilities

•

Excellent written and verbal communication skills proficient with mobile technology and associated commissioning software application

•

Must have a Valid Driver's License & in Good Standing

•

Must be able to travel to sites as needed
