What We Are Looking For
The Commercial Services Senior Technician performs advanced technical work across NOCO’s Commercial Energy division including but not limited to HVAC, EV Charging, Battery/Energy Storage Systems, Generator, and Solar. They perform independent troubleshooting, repairs, and system installations. They serve as a technical resource to junior team members and ensure that work meets NOCO and code standards for safety, quality, and efficiency.
- Independently install, repair, and maintain HVAC, lighting, generator, or solar systems in accordance with manufacturer specifications, codes, and project plans.
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues; perform testing using meters, gauges, and diagnostic tools to identify and resolve faults.
- Lead small projects or service calls.
- Verify system performance and conduct functional testing.
- Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and control diagrams to plan and execute complex installations.
- Maintain accurate records of service tickets, work orders, and inventory usage in NOCO systems (e.g., Service Titan).
- Communicate effectively with customers and project managers regarding scope, timelines, and technical findings.
- Mentor and train Technicians and General Laborers on trade skills and best practices.
- Participate in technical training to maintain certifications and advance industry knowledge.
- Safely operate company vehicles and equipment as authorized and trained.
- Follow all safety policies, procedures, and PPE requirements; report unsafe conditions or incidents immediately.
- This position requires participation in an on-call rotation. Employees must be available to respond to after-hours service needs as scheduled.

- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certificate or vocational training preferred.
- 3–5 years of experience in a relevant trade (HVAC, electrical, generator, or solar installation).
- Proficiency with hand and power tools, testing meters, and equipment specific to the trade.
- EPA, NATE, Electrical license or OSHA 10/30 certifications preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 100 lbs. and perform physical labor for extended periods.
- Willingness to work in both indoor and outdoor environments. Must be willing to work outdoors in challenging or poor weather conditions while maintaining a positive, productive attitude.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record required.
