Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Estimator with strong knowledge of precision sheet metal fabrication to accurately develop cost estimates and quotes for custom projects. This role plays a critical part in supporting our sales, engineering, and production teams to ensure competitive, profitable, and timely proposals.
Key Responsibilities:
•
Analyze drawings, blueprints, and specifications to develop detailed cost estimates.
•
Calculate material, labor, and finish costs.
•
Collaborate with sales and engineering teams to align pricing with customer needs and Dynamic capabilities.
•
Use estimating software (such as Mei-Trak, Paperless Parts, JobBOSS, or equivalent) and internal Dynamic data and formulas to prepare formal quotations.
•
Assist in identifying cost-saving opportunities and potential production challenges/solutions.
•
Communicate clearly with customers and vendors when needed.
Requirements:
•
Minimum 3–5 years estimating experience in a precision sheet metal environment.
•
Strong knowledge of materials (aluminum, stainless, carbon steel), fabrication processes (laser cutting, punching, forming, Hardware Installation, welding, finishing and Value Add assembly).
•
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
•
Proficiency with estimating and ERP systems.
•
Excellent math, analytical, and organizational skills.
•
Strong attention to detail and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
•
Experience with Amada or similar fabrication equipment.
•
Familiarity with CAD programs like SolidWorks, 3-D Modeling, etc...
•
Background in working with tight tolerance, high-mix, Prototype and low to mid-volume production environments.
