Primary Responsibilities and Key Deliverables
•Review RFQs, site assessments, and client specifications to determine project scope.
•Calculate labor, equipment, materials, and disposal costs for industrial services / projects (i.e. construction, mechanical, civil, environmental and industrial cleaning).
•Conduct site visits to evaluate access, safety requirements, and logistical challenges.
•Collaborate with operations, safety, and sales teams to develop tailored service plans.
•Prepare and submit detailed proposals, bids, and pricing packages.
•Track actual job costs and provide variance analysis for continuous improvement.
•Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry regulations, safety standards, and protocols.
•Accurate and timely cost estimates and bid proposals.
•Site assessment reports and risk evaluations.
•Cost tracking reports and post-project financial summaries.
•Updated pricing databases and vendor quotes.
Required Skills and Competencies
•Strong understanding of methods, requirements and equipment industrial services / projects
•Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
•Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
•Ability to interpret technical documents, safety protocols, and regulations.
•Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
Minimum Education and Experience
•Associate or Bachelor’s degree in applied Science, Industrial Technology, Engineering, Construction management or related field (or equivalent experience).
•3+ years of estimating experience in industrial services or related field.
•Familiarity with OSHA, EPA, and DOT regulations is highly preferred.
•Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to job sites as needed.
Work Environment
•Primarily office-based environment with occasional site visits to construction sites.
•Working conditions: Will be exposed to all weather conditions. Work on various structures and surfaces both at ground and elevated levels up to and possibly exceeding 150 ft. Work in confined spaces. Work a 12-hour shift with 30-minute lunch breaks. If requested, work overtime, and respond to emergency callouts whenever they occur. Workdays, nights, and weekends. Travel to customers and other Miller sites as needed.
•Physical effort required: Handling tools, materials, and equipment weighing up to 150 lbs. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Must be able to sit, stand, walk, crawl, bend, squat, and kneel. Must be capable of climbing towers/vessels/tanks.
