•Manages strategic planning, monitoring, guidance, and general oversight of all commodity contract activities for various MPC entities
•Manages the overall contract life cycle associated with bulk domestic and international, product exchange, all commodity logistics and marketing for MPC’s Commercial enterprise.
•Leads a team of contracts and authorization support personnel who enable systems set up and facilitate commercial agreements for all MPC’s domestic and international commodity operations.
•Provides extensive contract support for the Direct Dealer team, including Assignments, NTIs, Renewals, Subordinations, Deeds of Trust, business permit filings, and compliance notifications.
•Manages relationships with numerous internal business partners, including Accounting, Auditing, Law, Terminals, Transport, and IT in addition to all the organizations within Commercial.
•Owns and manages SOX and numerous operational controls via communication with Internal and External Audit teams. Ensures contract financial approval authority compliance for the wider Commercial organization.
•Manages contracts and compliance team to address contract administration issues such as service delivery, pricing and alignment of provider capabilities to business and strategic objectives.
•Ensures oversight of use of multiple systems used for deal entry, contract generation, and terminal authorization, including Commodity Trading and Risk Management (CTRM), and interfaces with Salesforce, Allocation Manager, FuelFacs, and numerous third-party terminaling systems.
•Supports various Commercial and company projects and initiatives.
•Participates in renewable fuels regulatory and compliance requirements planning and provides guidance and technical support to facilitate contract related handling of fees and credits for various Low Carb Fuel Standards (LCFS) and Cap & Trade programs.
•Leads organizational initiatives and projects including Know Your Customer (KYC) and Contract Efficiency Team, with reports/data provided to senior leadership. Ensures 24/7 after-hours troubleshooting support for MPC’s marketing customer loading issues.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
•Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field required.
•Ten (10) years marketing operations or related experience required.
•Five (5) years managing employees or related management experience required.
