Job Title: CNC Plasma Table Operator

Location: Mid-Park Highway, Leitchfield, Kentucky

Position Overview: We are currently seeking a skilled Plasma Table Operator to join our fabrication shop team at our facility in Leitchfield, Kentucky. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operating CNC plasma cutting machines and a solid understanding of metal fabrication processes. This position is critical in ensuring the accurate and efficient production of metal components according to specifications and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

- Set up and operate CNC plasma cutting machines to cut and fabricate parts from various metals.

- Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and job orders to determine specifications and requirements.

- Adjust machine settings to ensure precision and efficiency in cutting operations.

- Monitor machine operations to detect malfunctions or deviations from specifications and make necessary adjustments.

- Conduct routine maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance and longevity.

- Inspect finished parts to verify conformance to quality standards and specifications.

- Collaborate with team members to optimize production processes and workflow efficiency.

Requirements:

- Proven experience as a CNC plasma table operator or similar role in a metal fabrication environment.

- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.

- Knowledge of CNC programming and machine controls.

- Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and quality.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

- Physical capability to lift and maneuver heavy materials and equipment as required.

- Basic math skills and understanding of measurements.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Vocational or technical training in machining, fabrication, or a related field.

- Certification in CNC operation or relevant technical skills.

- Familiarity with other fabrication equipment such as laser cutters, press brakes, etc.

- Knowledge of safety protocols and practices in a fabrication setting.

Pay will be based on prior experience.

Leitchfield, Kentucky, in Grayson County, is 49 miles SE of Owensboro, Kentucky (center to center) and 61 miles SW of Louisville, Kentucky. Other nearby cities include Bowling Green and Elizabethtown.

Located between Nolin Lake and Rough River Dam State Park and near Mammoth Cave National Park. The land provides wildlife, fishing, hiking, camping, boating, and swimming.

Colleges and universities that offer courses for higher studies include the Elizabethtown Community College (branch location in Leitchfield), Western Kentucky University, University of Louisville, and Jefferson Community College.
