CNC Mill Production Machine Operator

Crenshaw Die and Manufacturing is a manufacturer of metal machining, stamping and fabrication products based in Southern California and in continuous operation for more than 65 years. We are currently seeking full-time and part-time machine operators for our manufacturing plant in Huntington Beach, California.

The Machine Operator will be responsible for performing various production related tasks including primarily operating CNC mills and monitoring production quality as well as as needed operating other production machines including stamping presses, CNC waterjets, brake presses or other production related related tasks . The candidate will be responsible for obtaining production output targets while maintaining the highest quality standards.

This position reports to a shift supervisor/manager.

Responsibilities:

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, follow standardized work and adhere to safe work practices in a continuous improvement environment

- Read and interpret dimensional prints, and process specifications to determine sequence and methods of the operation

- Perform necessary activities to ensure proper equipment startup and operation on multiple pieces of equipment

- Operate/monitor pieces of equipment during operation to ensure quality production and minimal unplanned stops

- Communicate with team members and support teams to ensure continuous production at high quality levels with minimal wasted time and materials

- Utilize any necessary safety gear

- Experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus

Job Requirements:

- Experience in a manufacturing environment

- CNC milling experience with 3,4 and 5 axis machines

- Knowledgeable of production procedures

- English reading and speaking required

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 – 50 per week
