We are seeking a skilled CNC & Manual Lathe Machinist to join our custom parts machine shop. In this role, you will operate our Haas ST 20 and DMH 700 CNC, as well as a manual engine lathe, to machine an assortment of materials including urethane, nylon, Teflon, and NBR. You will ensure that finished workpieces meet precise specifications, supporting our commitment to delivering custom, high-quality components.

Key Responsibilities

- Operate Haas ST 20 and DMH 700 series CNC to machine plastics and other materials such as urethane, nylon, Teflon, and NBR.

- Create and modify CNC programs to meet production requirements.

- Operate manual engine lathe for various machining tasks.

- Verify conformance of finished workpieces to specifications using hand measuring devices (e.g., calipers, micrometers).

- Read and interpret technical drawings and written specifications to ensure accurate production.

- Select and set up appropriate tooling for machining processes.

- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on lathes to ensure optimal performance.

- Collaborate with team members to maintain quality and efficiency.

Qualifications

- Completed CNC training program or equivalent education with certification.

- Proven experience programming, modifying, and creating CNC programs.

- Excellent math skills, with the ability to perform precise calculations for machining.

- Experience operating manual engine lathes.

- Proficiency in using hand measuring devices (e.g., calipers, micrometers).

- Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings and written specifications.

- In-depth knowledge of tooling and machining techniques.

- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
