CNC Machinist II - Lathe- 2nd Shift

While experience is flexible, the candidate who has the following skillset will be considered a potential match for the role.

- Demonstrated knowledge of CNC Controls (Fanuc and others).

- Ability to read and understand CNC Programming, including making minor edits to programs at machine controls.

- Ability to perform complete setups on CNC lathe machines.

- Understands to interpret and edit G-code programs.

- Safety – knowledge of industrial safety and ability to recognize hazards and apply safety procedures common to manual material handling and operating equipment, such as hazmat, MSDS, personal protective equipment, machine tool safety.

- English language – ability to read, understand, speak, and write; Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.

- Math – knowledge and ability to apply arithmetic skills, such as adding, subtracting, multiplication, division, fractions, geometry, and algebra for the purpose of calculating material fabrication.

- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

- Mechanical – knowledge of and ability to use mechanical machines and tool holders, cutting tools, boring tools, fixtures, inserts, and other accessories used on various machines.

- Knowledge and ability to use precision measuring instruments, such as calipers, ID and OD micrometers, depth gauges, indicators, and scales.

- Demonstrated understanding in blueprint reading and geometric tolerance interpretation.
