Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Machinist to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in machining and fabrication, with experience operating various CNC machines and tools. This position requires attention to detail, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to read blueprints and technical drawings. The Machinist will play a crucial role in producing high-quality components that meet our rigorous standards.
- Operate CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, and other machining equipment to fabricate parts according to specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD models to determine machining processes.
- Utilize precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers to ensure accuracy in dimensions.
- Program CNC machines using Fanuc or CAM programming software for optimal performance.
- Conduct quality control checks throughout the manufacturing process to maintain product integrity.
- Perform routine maintenance on machinery and troubleshoot any operational issues.
- Collaborate with team members on assembly line tasks, materials handling, and fabrication processes.
- Use hand tools and welding techniques as necessary for assembly and finishing tasks.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area in compliance with safety standards.
- Proven experience in a manufacturing facility or factory environment.
- Proficiency in CNC programming, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing), and operation of stamping presses and press brake machines.
- Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) is a plus.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to operate forklifts safely.
- Experience with SolidWorks or similar CAD software for design purposes.
- Basic math skills for precise measurements and calculations.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated.
- Previous experience in quality control processes is preferred.
