Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Grinder to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setup and operating grinding machines to produce precision parts and components according to specifications. This role requires a strong understanding of machining processes, attention to detail, and the ability to learn new processes. The Grinder will ensure that all finished products meet quality standards and specifications.
Duties
•Setup and Operate grinding machines, including Centerless, Surface, ID / OD, Shoe Centerless, Lapping and Superfinishing
•Utilize precision measuring tools such as TalySurf Form, Roundness, CMM and micrometers to verify dimensions of finished products.
•Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to understand specifications for each job.
•Perform quality inspections on finished products to ensure they meet required standards.
•Fabricate components as needed, following established procedures or developing procedures.
•Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring all equipment is properly maintained.
•Collaborate with team members to optimize production processes and improve efficiency.
Experience
•Previous experience in machining.
•Familiarity with programming CNC machines is a plus.
•Strong understanding of basic math principles as they apply to machining tasks.
•Ability to work independently as well as part of a team with good communication skills.
•Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
