CNC Operator - Manual Machinist

Term Position for apprenticeship cover-off (with possibility of extension)

CNC OPERATOR - MANUAL MACHINIST

DUTIES

· Produce high quality parts and materials by operating machines to perform the right operations.

· Understand specifications in reading blue prints and mechanical drawings.

· Basic modification of parts.

· Grinding and painting parts.

· Prepare and load raw materials and parts into the machines to complete full cycles to fabricate parts.

· Flexibility to handle multiple and changing priorities.

· Maintain positive, team-oriented attitude.

SKLLS & QUALIFICATIONS

· Proven experience: set up and operate HAAS CNC machines to perform operations to maximize time and capacity.

· Use hand tools and measuring instruments to ensure accuracy of machining parts.

· Perform quality control checks to ensure finished products meet specifications while meeting QC standards.

· Manual lathe experience.

· Ability to read and interpret mechanical documents and drawings.

· Shop environment experience.

· Good communication skills.

· Forklift experience (we certify in house).

· Ability to stand for extended periods.

· Ability to lift heavy objects.

· STRONG commitment to team work.
