We are currently seeking a CMM Programmer/Operator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in our supply chain operations by programming, setting up, and running CMMs to inspect manufactured products to ensure they meet our customers’ specifications and requirements.
· Program CMM: Take an existing CAD model of a part and develop both a program and a setup to inspect the part.
· Operate CMM: Take an existing CMM program and setup and operate the CMM to ensure parts are conforming to diametric requirements.
· Traditional Inspection: Inspect parts with traditional inspection equipment including but not limited to micro-hites, micrometers, calipers, optical comparators, thread gages, etc.
· Record Keeping: Log time and maintain accurate records of jobs worked on, inspections performed, and quantities good and nonconforming. Complete required paperwork such as First Article Inspections and signing off on operations completed.
· Adherence to Company Policy: Following all safety regulations and company policies. This includes managing time efficiently to meet delivery schedules.
· Problem Resolution: Addressing and resolving any issues that arise during inspection, such as non-conforming parts or incomplete paperwork for previous operations.
· Communication: Staying in touch with managers to provide updates on job status, report any delays, and receive new instructions.
· Team Player: Works well with others to achieve shared goals of quality and on time delivery.
· Safety: Prioritizing personal safety, as well as the safety of others by using appropriate safety equipment and following all safety requirements.
· Can Read a Print: Ability to read a print and understand GD&T callouts
· Program/Operate a CMM: Be able to program and operate a CMM
· IM&T Knowledge: Have a working knowledge of traditional inspection equipment including but not limited to micro-hites, micrometers, calipers, optical comparators, thread gages, etc.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office: Able to use Excel, Word, and Outlook to populate and/or generate reports for communication to customers and vendors.
· Proficient in Zeiss CMM Software: Utilize Calypso for measurement data analysi.
· English Language Skills: Can read, write, and speak English
