NORMTek Radiation Services Ltd – Class 1 Driver
NORMTek has an opening for a full time Class 1 based out of our Ft St John, BC Facility. NORMTek specializes in Naturally Occurring Radioactive Material within the oil and gas industry. · Must be safety focused and comply with all of NORMTek’s Health, Safety and Environmental policies.

· A valid Class 1 driver’s license in good standing is required.
· Preference will be given to drivers with experience operating vac trucks, winch trucks or roll off trucks.
· Preference will also be given to candidates who would have the ability to perform the duties of a NORM Technician (NORM Surveys, monitoring and assessments)
· A strong understanding of hours of services, electronic logs, prorate, IFTA etc is an asset
· Preference will be given to candidates with experience or knowledge of NORM, however it is not a requirement. NORMTek will provide on the job training specific to NORM, regulations and various NORM instrumentation.
· Must be mechanically inclined, self-motivated, hardworking, able to work in a team setting but also capable of receiving direction and completing tasks with limited supervision.
· The successful candidate must have strong communication and customer services skills. This role will require direct involvement with our clients and subcontractors, for this reason strong leadership skills will be an asset.
· Must have computer skills as daily reports, survey data, monitoring results must be documented for regulatory purposes.
· Primary responsibilities will be to operate NORMTek’s fleet of federally licensed vehicles including, tridem rail truck, tandem tractor, tridem roll off trailer, vacuum truck, 2 ton’s etc.
· Work will be based out of NORMTek’s Ft St John Facility, with work being completed on customer’s sites. Some projects will require work out of town for extended timeframes or camp based projects. Work shifts will be varied and dependent upon the projects being completed with typical hours ranging from 8-12 hour shifts. Should no field projects be available maintenance or laborer work will be available at the facility.
· Training will be completed both in field and at the facility so a full understanding of NORM and our operations is developed.

· Potential for growth within the company exists with successful candidates learning and completing NORM related surveys and testing.
· Driving with the majority of work focused in NE BC and NW AB however longer trips throughout western Canada will be required.
