EcoLube Recovery (ELR), a Pacific Northwest-owned and operated company, is seeking a dedicated Class A Route Driver to join our team in Portland, OR. As a Route Driver, you will play a vital role in our mission to provide sustainable and compliant recycling solutions for used oil and related waste. This position offers a consistent schedule with local routes, ensuring you are home nightly. Responsibilities
•Drive Class A and B trucks on established customer routes to collect and deliver containerized packages and bulk liquids.
•Collect bulk liquids and/or containerized packages from customer locations 2-3 days per week each.
•Deliver new products to customers as scheduled.
•Organize and execute route service events efficiently, including responding to call-in service requests.
•Communicate regularly with Customer Service and Dispatch throughout the day.
•Load and unload containerized waste safely and efficiently.
•Accurately complete all required customer and DOT paperwork.
•Address and resolve service complaints, involving management when necessary.
•Unload collected materials at the assigned ELR facility daily.
•Maintain the cleanliness and good operating condition of the collection truck, both inside and out.
•Comply with all company safety, environmental, and operational policies and procedures.
•Represent ELR professionally with customers, vendors, and co-workers.
•Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
•High school diploma or equivalent required.
•Valid Class A CDL required.
•Ability to drive a manual transmission.
•Tanker endorsement preferred; must be able to obtain upon hire.
•2 years of CDL driving experience preferred.
•1-2 years of route-based driving experience highly preferred.
•Basic computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Office.
•Strong customer service and problem-solving abilities.
•Effective verbal and written communication skills in English.
•Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
•Must meet requirements to pass a DOT physical.
•Ability to frequently stand, walk, sit, reach, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, and crouch.
•Manual dexterity to operate equipment.
•Ability to regularly lift and move more than 75 lbs.
Compensation
Starting at $29-$30 per hour depending on experience. Overtime eligible plus monthly safety bonuses.
