Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and visionary Chief Executive Officer to lead our organization in the highly specialized and competitive subprime lending market. The CEO will be responsible for driving strategic growth, ensuring regulatory compliance, and maintaining operational excellence while expanding market share and profitability. This individual will bring deep industry knowledge, a proven track record of success in subprime consumer finance, and the ability to navigate the complexities of risk, compliance, and customer experience in a high-volume lending environment.
- Strategic Leadership: Define and execute the company’s long-term strategy for growth and profitability in the subprime lending sector
- Business Development: Identify and capitalize on market opportunities, new product offerings, and distribution channels to expand market presence
- Operational Oversight: Ensure efficient, scalable lending operations, from application to collections, optimizing processes for speed, compliance, and customer satisfaction
- Regulatory & Compliance Management: Oversee adherence to federal, state, and local lending regulations, including fair lending laws, truth-in-lending requirements, and debt collection standards
- Risk Management: Monitor and manage credit risk, underwriting standards, and portfolio performance while balancing growth and profitability
- Financial Management: Drive revenue growth, manage budgets, and ensure strong financial performance through disciplined cost control and targeted investment
- Team Leadership: Build, lead, and inspire a high-performing executive team; foster a results-driven, customer-centric culture
- Stakeholder Relations: Maintain strong relationships with investors, board members, regulatory agencies, and strategic partners- 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in subprime lending, consumer finance, or related industries
- Proven track record of scaling a lending business while maintaining compliance and profitability
- Deep knowledge of subprime lending products, credit risk models, collections strategies, and customer acquisition in high-risk markets
- Strong financial acumen with the ability to interpret and act on complex financial and performance data
- Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or related field; MBA or equivalent preferred
- Experience with digital lending platforms, fintech integrations, and technology-driven customer acquisition strategies
- Strong network of industry contacts, including regulators, lenders, and strategic partners
