Responsible to: CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER
Position Summary: The Chief Administration Officer (CAO) serves as a key member of the executive leadership team, overseeing the administrative, compliance, and operational support functions of the company. The CAO is responsible for designing and implementing business processes that ensure efficiency, scalability, and regulatory compliance across the organization. This role requires a highly strategic and operational leader who can balance day-today management with long-term organizational planning to support VoltaGrid’s continued growth.
- Partner with the CEO and executive team to shape company strategy and ensure
operational alignment.
- Lead cross-functional initiatives to streamline business operations and
strengthen organizational effectiveness.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to the CEO, COO, CTO, CFO, and other executives
on governance, compliance, and risk management.
- Direct corporate services including HR, compliance, corporate services, and
corporate communications.
- Develop and implement policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure
efficient, compliant, and transparent operations.
- Provide oversight of insurance programs and internal administrative controls that
mitigate risk and support organizational effectiveness.
- Standardize and optimize internal processes to improve efficiency, cost
effectiveness, and scalability.
- Oversee facilities management and infrastructure, ensuring safe and productive
work environments.
- Ensure adoption and effective use of technology platforms (in partnership with
the CTO) to enhance collaboration, compliance, and reporting.
- Partner with People Operations to drive employee engagement, retention, and
compliance with labor laws.
- Ensure administrative functions support the company’s culture, values, and longterm talent strategy.
- Ensure administrative practices are applied equitably and support a positive
workplace environment.
- Ensure the organization maintains compliance with all local, state, federal, and
international regulatory requirements.
- Develop and maintain governance frameworks that protect company assets and
reputation.
- Provide oversight of corporate policies, ethics, and compliance training.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, or related field.
- 15+ years of progressive leadership experience, including 7+ years insenior/executive roles overseeing administrative, legal, compliance, or operational
functions.
- Proven success in scaling operations within a high-growth or complex, multientity environment (energy, technology, or industrial sectors preferred).
- Strong understanding of corporate governance, compliance, risk management,
and regulatory requirements.
- Demonstrated ability to design and implement organizational systems, policies,
and processes that drive efficiency and accountability.
- Exceptional communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strategic thinker with an ability to translate vision into execution.
- Strong business acumen and operational rigor.
- Integrity and sound judgment in handling sensitive and confidential matters.
- Ability to lead with influence, build consensus, and foster cross-functional collaboration.
