In this position you will be responsible for assisting in the scale-up, manufacturing, production, testing and quality control of a new line of chemical sensors for water testing.
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or Engineering Sciences
- Experience in a laboratory setting conducting independent research
- Understanding and ability to perform routine testing of aqueous chemical sensors.
- Ability to prepare and handle chemical solutions,
- Setup, operate, and work independently on instrumentation.
- Must be familiar with basic chemical analysis methods including EDTA and acid/base titrations, as well as simple potentiometric and amperometric measurements.
- Should have good math skills and ability to perform data generation
- Understanding and ability to set up quality controls, monitoring and maintenance
- Understanding of clean room environment
- Assistance with basic instrumentation and electrical systems a plus
- Demonstrated ability to work as a team player
- Good oral and written skills for communication and documentation of technical information
- Meet tight deadlines, multi-task, and prioritize workload
- Ability to work independently on specific projects until the desired goal is achieved.
- Research independently, keep current with technological developments, and possess the ability to learn new skills
- Must be detailed oriented and capable of adjusting standard operating procedure as needed.
