CGSB Level 2 Technicians - UT and/or RT

Job Overview

We are seeking experienced CGSB Level 2 UT or RT Technicians to join our team at the Interpro Pipe and Steel Mill in Regina SK. This role involves performing, overseeing and auditing of nondestructive testing to ensure the integrity various pipe welds and components. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills, a keen eye for detail, and a solid understanding of quality control standards, including CSA codes and standards. Responsibilities

- Conduct Ultrasonic Testing (UT) or Radiographic Testing (RT) inspections on various materials and components, ensuring compliance with code.

- Perform detailed quality control and quality assurance inspections.

- Utilize mechanical knowledge to interpret data collected during inspections and identify potential defects or deviations.

- Apply non-destructive testing techniques accurately, adhering to codes & standards.

- Collect and analyze inspection data, documenting findings meticulously for reporting purposes.

- Use schematics and technical drawings to guide inspection processes and assembly verification.

- Maintain a clean, organized work environment while following safety protocols at all times.

Qualifications

- Certified CGSB UT or RT Level 2 Technician

- For Ultrasonic Testing - strong preference given to those with experience in Automated Ultrasonic Testing Systems.

- Familiarity with CSA codes & standards relevant to nondestructive testing.

- Knowledge of quality control principles including quality assurance procedures and defect detection methods.

- Excellent attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills necessary for accurate inspections. This position is integral to maintaining the safety, reliability, and performance of critical components within our manufacturing operations.

Job Type: Fixed term contract

Contract length: 6 months

Pay: $49.74-$54.03 per hour

Expected hours: 50 – 72 per week
