Vapor Point’s Thermal Operator’s primary responsibility is to manage customer needs by assisting lead on-site field operations execution of Vapor Point’s thermal processing technology for the control/recovery of Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs such as benzene and fuel gas) and hydrogen sulfide (H2S) gases, and by ensuring regulatory compliance using proper testing and data collection procedures to ensure that customer operations maintain high operational compliance and safety standing. It is the expectation that our Thermal Operator perform duties and additional functions listed below.
· Conduct equipment mobilization and setup as needed according to Employee/Customer training and company’s Standard Operating Procedures(SOP’s) as instructed by supervision.
· Work with customer and/or Vapor Point staff to evaluate job scope, safety issues, and obtain safe work permits
· While equipment is running, ensure proper emissions monitoring, data recording, and evaluate proper process operation
· After completion of job, ensure proper site security and clean up, and equipment readiness for future projects
· Be available for call outs or unscheduled work 24/7 as required by customer demands, go out of town for short periods, usually less than 30 days at a time
· Answer after hours phone calls on company issued phone
· Periodically work in the shop building and maintaining our equipment to include preventative maintenance, piping repair and assembly, instrument repair and testing, painting, grinding, pump and small engine maintenance, organizing, and cleaning.
· Participates in safety program, safety observation program and SOP training
· Other duties as assigned by Operations Manager, Project Manager, Branch Manager or Territory Manager.
- Works under Primary manager on thermal projects completed which will include hours of work outside of normal working hours.
- Monitor the facility to ensure that it remains safe, secure, and well-maintained.
- Supervise branch Application Specialist personnel at customer sites during work execution.
- Participates in the maintenance and repair of machinery, equipment, and electrical and mechanical systems as instructed by supervision.· Other duties as assigned by Operations Manager, Project Manager, Branch Manager or Territory Manager.

· Setting and maintaining equipment will require prolonged walking and standing, heavy lifting, endurance, climbing onto trailers and back of trucks, climbing stairs and ladders over long hours.
· The bulk of the work is sitting and periodically monitoring equipment. You could be on standby waiting for work to start for several hours.
· Ability to be organized and work in a systematic and efficient manner.
· Ability to communicate effectively in written, electronic, and verbal forms of communication.
· Basic computer knowledge, Microsoft Word and Excel, email skills.
· Ability to take direction and carry out tasks with minimal supervision. Depending on ability you earn supervisory duties for personnel or projects.
· Ability to work well with others in a group setting.

· 1-2+ years of relevant thermal vapor control operations field experience in operations or equivalent (preferred)
· Military Experience is preferred but not required
