Merritt Concrete, a Whitehead Oil Company, is hiring a CDL Driver (Volumetric Concrete Truck) in Lincoln, NE.

Founded in 1894, Merritt Concrete operates Lincoln’s only volumetric concrete fleet — mixing concrete fresh on-site for better quality, zero waste, and no short loads.

This is a home daily position. You’ll run a modern volumetric truck, deliver concrete to job sites, and work directly alongside our flatwork crews and customers to make sure every job is set up right.

What You’ll Do

- Safely operate a CDL volumetric concrete truck to deliver material to job sites

- Mix and adjust concrete on-site to meet customer specs and job conditions

- Work directly with customers and crews to ensure quality and consistency

- Assist on-site as needed — setting customers and crews up for success

- Coordinate with Merritt flatwork teams on active job sites

- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and maintain equipment

- Represent Merritt Concrete professionally on every job

What We’re Looking For

- Valid CDL (Class A or B)

- 25+ years old (insurance requirement)

- Reliable — shows up on time, ready to work

- Strong work ethic — takes ownership of the job

- Comfortable working outdoors in all conditions

- Willing to help on-site — not just drive and leave

- Good communication — works well with customers and crews

- Has transportation to and from work

What This Job Is (and Isn’t)

- You ARE responsible for delivering high-quality concrete and helping customers succeed

- You ARE NOT expected to finish concrete — but you should be willing to step in and help when needed

- You WILL work closely with our flatwork crew — this is a team environment, not a solo driver role
