Category Manager

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop, implement, and execute category management and contracting plans for assigned Midstream categories.

- Lead strategic sourcing initiatives and manage complex, long-term agreements.

- Ensure PSCM standards, processes, and operating systems are consistently applied across all category work.

- Identify supply chain risks and implement proactive mitigation and cost-management strategies.

- Build and manage relationships with key suppliers to improve safety, operational performance, and efficiency.

- Conduct supplier performance reviews, resolve service-related issues, and facilitate continuous improvement.

- Lead or support regional contract management activities including onboarding sessions, audits, and performance oversight.

- Coordinate PSCM involvement in supplier investigations and ensure timely closure of findings.

- Partner with Operations leadership to maintain business continuity and deliver measurable value contributions.

- Communicate regularly with internal stakeholders regarding category strategy, performance, and commercial activity.

Required Education

- Bachelor’s degree in Procurement/Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or a related technical field.

- MBA preferred, but not required.

Required Experience & Qualifications

- Multiple years of PSCM experience supporting Midstream or Upstream operations (preferred).

- Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills, with the ability to influence senior-level stakeholders.

- Excellent project management skills.

- Ability to lead through complexity in multi-stakeholder, multi-disciplinary, and multi-cultural environments.

- Experience in category strategy development, sourcing, demand management, risk management, and contract execution.

- Working knowledge of OpenInvoice, Ariba, SAP, Excel, and related tools.

- Demonstrated ability to collaborate across disciplines, cultures, and organizational levels.

- Experience with programming and understanding economic impacts on oilfield categories is a plus.

Category Manager – Midstream Operations

We are seeking an experienced Category Manager – Midstream Operations to support our Midstream PSCM function. This role is responsible for developing, executing, and leading category management strategies, strategic sourcing efforts, contracting activities, supplier performance programs, and commercial best practices across Midstream Operations.

This position requires strong leadership, collaboration, and the ability to manage complex supply chain activities. The Category Manager will interface with operations leadership, internal PSCM teams, and suppliers to ensure safe, reliable, and cost-effective delivery of services while driving continuous improvement across the value chain.
