Camp Cleaner (Seasonal)

Job Summary

Join us at our family owned and operated Placer Gold Mine outside of Dawson City, Yukon until October of 2026 as a Camp Cleaner. This is a seasonal position hiring one candidate. The ideal candidate is organized and efficient with time management.

Responsibilities:

-Cleaning single use restrooms with showers, hallways, mud rooms

-Move out cleans on bunkhouse rooms and camp shacks

-Cleaning houses and other buildings

-Routinely emptying trash cans

- Cleaning the dining hall

-Maintain organization and inventory of cleaning supplies, hand soap refills, laundry essentials

-Assist Kitchen and Office personnel as needed

-Travel between 2-3 active mining sites to clean 30-100 man camps

cleaning of occupied camp rooms is NOT a responsibilty

Qualifications:

-Food Safe or other food handling course is an asset and would open more hours to the right candidate

-Experience living in and cleaning in a remote camp

-Knowledge of sanitary practices and chemical safety

-Passion and positive attitude towards keeping a nice camp

-Class 5 license is a bonus however not required

Camps are located on remote active mine sites. This is a camp position with a 12 day on, 2 days off shift. We offer relocation assistance to get to the Yukon however this is NOT fly in fly out work, nor is end of season travel covered. Camp accommodations include a private room, shared wash facilities and a dining hall providing 3 meals a day.

Wages $25/hour with overtime after 8hrs.

8-10hrs/day
