The Company: Hiltz Propane Systems constructs Propane Systems for bulk storage, commercial, or industrial uses in Eastern United States. We are an established, privately owned Company with experts in the propane field on staff. We are seeking an experienced Drafter to help drive our solution-based business model and take our designs to the next level.

The Position: We’re looking for an experienced Full Time CAD Drafter. CAD Drafter converts preliminary product design sketches and ideas into working documents using AutoCAD 2D and 3D programs. Reviews engineering drawings and designs to ensure adherence to established specifications and standards. Collaborates with Engineers and/or Project Managers to iterate drawing designs and layouts to final completion.

Responsibilities

- The responsibilities of the CAD Drafter include, but are not limited to:

- Utilize CAD software to create detailed plan view, elevation, process & instrumentation diagram, and detail drawings related to LPG Systems.

- Coordinates the collection of data and incorporates such information into drawings, maps, and schematics, while consulting design and layout with project managers, engineers, architects, surveyors, clients, and/or other workers involved to develop and revise as needed.

- Review drawings for accuracy and completeness. Maintains all revisions of project drawings.

- Creates drawings and models from verbal and written specifications that are obtained from the project manager and/or engineer.

- Works with engineers regarding drafting standards, model design and accuracy, and design documentation.

- Completes project responsibilities within scope, schedule, and budget.

- Complete regular visits to Tank Inventory Yard for tank measurements in inventory.

- Participates in project conference calls and meetings as needed.

- Complete periodic visits to local project construction sites to gather data as necessary.

Requirements

- Associates degree.

- Minimum of two years’ experience in CAD Drafting

- Work Portfolio

- 3+ years of AutoCAD

Travel

This position does not require a significant amount of travel. Occasional travel to a local job site may be requested but is not generally expected.
