CAD Drafter I

Job Description:

CGI Inc. is looking for 1-2 entry-level CAD drafters to work on process plant design projects. The draftsmen will be responsible for

· communicating directly with lead designer as well as client’s process engineers,

· modifying and creating Process & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs),

· modifying and creating piping isometric and plan drawing from 3D models

· understanding and implementing piping specifications, and

· providing drafting support for other disciplines.

Experience:

Working knowledge of process flow diagrams, piping & instrument diagrams, equipment arrangements, piping system design, and design specifications is preferred. Experience with process plant design and typical construction methods is desirable.

Requirements:

Applicants should be team players, detail oriented, and self-driven. It is important that applicants have internal motivation and a thirst to expand their skillset.

Working knowledge of AutoCAD and basic knowledge of MS Excel & MS Word is expected. CGI will additionally train otherwise qualified applicant.

Education:

A drafting degree is preferred but strong consideration will be given to other degrees based on experience and attitude.
