About the Role:
We're looking for a dynamic Buyer / Inside Sales professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same. In this hybrid role, you'll play a vital part in both purchasing and sales coordination, ensuring smooth supply chain operations while also helping drive business through direct customer interaction and order execution.
You’ll work closely with suppliers, customers, and cross-functional internal teams to support end-to-end procurement, sales fulfillment, and production flow—all while maintaining cost control and delivery accuracy.
Key Responsibilities:
Procurement & Supply Chain:
•Issue purchase and blanket orders, including setup, maintenance, and renewals.
•Manage and maintain purchase data in the MRP/ERP system (pricing, lead times, MOQ, etc.).
•Coordinate domestic and international shipments, including commercial invoicing and pricing validations.
•Negotiate pricing and lead times with suppliers and issue PO change orders as needed.
•Ensure material delivery aligns with budget, specs, and schedule.
•Maintain procurement reports (delivery, cost, shortages, etc.).
•Resolve shipping, invoice, and payment discrepancies.
Sales & Order Coordination:
•Conduct sales calls in conjunction with the Sales Manager and Outside Sales.
•Follow up on sales orders and expedite “hot” orders through the ERP system.
•Maintain accurate Work in Process (WIP) tracking reports.
•Liaise with QC, Paint, Engineering, and Warehouse to ensure order sequencing and timely delivery.
•Interface with all departments to support the order fulfillment process.
•Provide exceptional customer service by ensuring order accuracy and timeliness.
Team & Culture:
•Participate in team meetings and contribute to cost-saving initiatives.
•Support company safety and quality programs.
•Take ownership of assigned tasks and proactively seek solutions.
What We're Looking For:
•Associate degree in Supply Chain, Business, or Engineering (preferred). Or Equivalent work related experience.
•3–5 years of experience in supply chain, purchasing, or inside sales.
•Experience with cost reduction projects, inventory management, or VMI.
•Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and MRP/ERP systems.
•Detail-oriented with strong analytical, organizational, and multitasking skills.
•Excellent written and verbal communication; comfortable collaborating across departments.
•Experience in both procurement and customer-facing roles a plus.
Working Conditions:
•Office setting within a manufacturing environment.
•Occasional light lifting and prolonged sitting at a desk/computer.
•Vision requirements include close, distance, and color vision.
•Minimal travel required.
