seeks an Industrial Engineering Co-Op in

. The Industrial Engineering Co-Op supports operational and production teams by applying industrial engineering principles to improve efficiency, quality, cost, and delivery performance. This role provides hands-on experience in process improvement, facility layout design, lean manufacturing, and cross-functional project collaboration. The co-op will contribute to continuous improvement initiatives while gaining practical exposure to manufacturing operations, engineering tools, and technical documentation standards.

- Assist with designing and improving layouts of equipment, materials, and workspaces to maximize efficiency; support implementation of approved changes

- Apply industrial engineering tools and methodologies to improve process capability, eliminate defects, improve on-time delivery, and achieve cost-saving targets

- Facilitate and promote Lean Manufacturing methodologies across production activities and work processes

- Participate in cross-functional project teams focused on continuous quality and process improvement

- Conduct time studies, motion studies, capacity analyses, and utilization studies

- Identify, analyze, and implement improvements related to cost reduction, quality enhancement, workflow optimization, and delivery performance

- Participate in assigned operational and engineering projects as needed

- Organize information and prepare customer-facing written deliverables in accordance with the Ergon Procedure Writer's Guide

- Confer with customers and subject matter experts to determine technical content and requirements

- Edit and revise technical, operational, and administrative documents prepared by other contributors

Position Qualifications

- Minimum 3.0 GPA required

- Ability to commit to three consecutive semesters in the co-op program

- Current enrollment as sophomore in Industrial Engineering degree program

- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills

- Effective verbal and written communication skills

- Knowledge of AutoCAD preferred

- Ability and willingness to travel as required

- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a team-based environment
