Position Summary:
The Service Billing Specialist enters data from service calls and generates customer invoices. The Service Billing Specialist will also work with a team to help develop and implement all policies, procedures, systems and best practices with regard to billing, for the purpose of maintaining accurate financial information.
Essential Functions:
•Audits technician billing to prepare customer invoices for posting and sends them to customers.
•Daily imports data from the technicians completed work on Ignite Mobile.
•Assists Service Billing Team members with postings or corrections when necessary.
•Primarily responsible for completing Service Install Billing.
•Ensures all work orders for a given month are posted in a timely manner to aide in completing monthly work and reporting.
•Files completed paperwork.
•Handles customer phone calls on billing and assists in resolving issues and complaints. Coordinates with service managers to resolve customer complaints/issues.
•Prepares job estimates to extend cost for service or install performance for President and service managers.
•Prepares material purchase invoices and preps paperwork for both the Service Billing Team & Inventory receiving.
•Tracks tanks sold to customers from the Bourne’s Energy inventory and reports sales to the Accounting and Human Resources Manager and the CFO.
•Compiles list of subcontractor expenses for the CFO for month end closing.
•Performs a variety of general office duties including data entry, answering phones, copying invoices and other materials, preparing mailings, and filing.
•Provides backup to the Customer Service Representative team during assigned phone coverage slots.

Performs other work-related duties as assigned.
Experience:
•At least two years of experience in bookkeeping, accounting or general office work required.
•Ability to work accurately with numbers, calculations, and spreadsheets.
•Good verbal and written communication skills, including customer service skills and telephone etiquette.
•Ability to stay organized and multi-task.

Education:
Post secondary education in bookkeeping or accounting highly preferred, High School Diploma or equivalent required.
