Key Energy Services is seeking a bilingual (English and Spanish) Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) to serve as a strategic advisor to management and a trusted partner to employees across the organization. This role is responsible for aligning HR strategies with business objectives, with a strong emphasis on supporting field-based employees and partnering closely with operational leadership. The HRBP fosters collaborative relationships at all levels of the company to drive employee engagement, ensure compliance, and improve workforce performance. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of five years of progressive HR experience, a proven track record of success, strong business acumen, and demonstrated expertise in employee relations, performance management, and workforce planning. This position is based in our Houston office and requires up to 30% travel to support field operations.
- Conducts weekly meetings with respective business units.
- Consults with line management, providing HR guidance when appropriate.
- Analyzes trends and metrics in partnership with the HR group to develop solutions, programs and policies.
- Managers and resolves complex employee relations issues. Conducts effective, thorough and objective investigations.
- Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance.
- Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to line management (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions).
- Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
- Provides HR policy guidance and interpretation.
- Develops contract terms (offer letters, promotion and demotion letters) for new hires, promotions and transfers.
- Provides guidance and input on business unit restructures, workforce planning and succession planning.
- Identifies training needs for business units and individual executive coaching needs.
- Participates in evaluation and monitoring of training programs to ensure success. Follows up to ensure training objectives are met.
- Travel 25-50% to work locations required (Gulf Coast, Central Texas, Northeast) for site visits.

- Bachelor’s degree or required work experience.

- Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including compensation practices, organizational diagnosis, employee relations, diversity, performance management, and federal and state respective employment laws.
