Battery Assembly Trainee

Employer Partner Introduction: Soelect Inc. is a fast-growing, multi-patented clean technology startup located in Greensboro, NC. Soelect has developed an advanced lithium metal composite anode that, when combined with a solid-state or liquid electrolyte, significantly increases energy density, power and safety while also lowering manufacturing costs through our patented material design and proprietary processes.

Position Brief:

- Apprentice Battery Assembly Technician / R&D department

- Work Location: 4355 Federal Drive, Suite140, Greensboro, NC 27410 (No public transportation)

- Work Hours: 24hrs per week/ 8 hours per day / On-site/ Tue – Thursday

- Apprentice Wage rate is between $17 / hourly, based on experience

- This is a temporary contract position during the Apprenticeship Program Period.

Qualifications

- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

- Must be able to complete all physical requirements of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.

- Must be able to remain in a stationary position 75% of the time.

- Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively in both oral and written form.

- Basic math (high school level) skillset is required.

- Keyboard Typing speed minimum of 60wpm.

Roles & Responsibilities

Support the process of preparation lithium, foils, and lamination of materials.

Assemble the coin cells and pouch cells per project’s guidelines.

Coordinating and executing equipment maintenance per manufacturer’s guidelines

Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and meet deadlines.

Assist process tests according to equipment specifications and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

Assist other teams to complete process tasks within assigned timelines.

Perform additional duties as required.
