The electrical technician will be responsible for the installation of cables, harnesses and electrical components in accordance with blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings and other written and verbal instructions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Have an advanced understanding of electrical circuitry and the operation of electrical components;
- Experience with 480V and/or 600V 3 phase equipment, components, circuit characteristics and safety considerations;
- Installs and terminates electrical connections by splicing, soldering, crimping, etc. to electrically and mechanically sound installation methods;
- Understanding of electrical and mechanical system interfaces and their limitations to avoid damage to either system during testing; Able to read a tape measure;
- Ability to follow directions; Ability to read and understand blueprints and electrical schematics;
- Ability to install cables, harnesses, and electrical components ensuring integrity of parts remain intact;
- Identify product defects and complete appropriate documentation when defects are identified;
- Assist with system performance testing prior to customer testing;
- Ability to work under minimal supervision;
- Must be adaptable to a changing work environment, competing demands and is able to deal with frequent change, delays or unexpected events;
- Must be willing and able to work flexible shifts and changing work schedules; Adhere to all Company policies;
- Follow all quality, health, safety and environmental programs;
