The Audio-Visual Conferencing Technician combines deep technical expertise with a passion for delivering exceptional user experiences. This role blends deep technical expertise with strategic project management, driving the design and deployment of immersive, high-performance AV environments that elevate collaboration, communication, and user experience on and off site.
Drive AV projects from concept through completion, ensuring systems are intuitive, reliable, and aligned with business goals. How you will make an Impact
Technical Execution & Support
- Deliver hands-on support for AV systems across the enterprise, including corporate events, remote meetings, and high-impact presentations.
- Transport, set-up/breakdown, test, troubleshoot and operate audio/visual/computer equipment at meetings and training events.
- Transport and coordinate with venue technical staff as required for off-site meetings
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum reliability.
- Design AV systems that prioritize ease of use, accessibility, and experiences for end users across hybrid meetings, events, and collaborative spaces.
- Partner with stakeholders to understand workflows and design AV environments that enhance productivity and engagement.
- Integrate intuitive interfaces, smart automation, and responsive controls to simplify interactions and reduce friction.
- Monitor AV systems to anticipate issues before they impact users, leveraging analytics and diagnostics to maintain optimal performance.
- Implement preventative maintenance schedules and real-time alerting to ensure high availability and minimal disruption.
- Provide online collaboration tool administrative support, such as managing use accounts and providing reporting.
- Provide responsive support for live events and meetings, ensuring smooth execution and rapid issue resolution.
- Participate in AV projects from planning through deployment, including budgeting, scheduling, vendor coordination, and risk management.
- Develop project road maps and milestones, ensuring alignment with IT strategy and business priorities.
- Oversee commissioning and quality assurance processes to validate system performance and user satisfaction.
- Stay ahead of AV trends and emerging technologies, evaluating new tools and platforms to enhance capabilities.
- Design and implement AV standards, documentation protocols, and training programs to scale knowledge across teams.
- Maintain strong vendor relationships to ensure visibility into product road maps and life cycle changes.
- 5 - 7 years of experience in designing and implementing A/V systems
- Strong technical background in A/V systems, cabling, and hardware
- Ability to move/load/unload equipment up to 50lbs or greater
- Experience working within a project team
- Ability to analyze and work from preliminary renderings and narratives
- Attention to detail
- Self-motivated and able to anticipate the needs of the team without daily instruction
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, coupled with creativity in problem-solving
- Maintain a positive attitude and take ownership of your role and responsibilities

The expected salary range for this position is $81,000 - $99,000 per year.
