AutoCAD Drafter Technician

Skoda Contracting is a natural gas utility contractor company hiring an AutoCAD Drafter Technician to work in our construction engineering department. In this role, you will create detailed technical drawings, revise designs, and assist with project documentation. This position will be based in Flanders, NJ.

Job Description:

- Develop accurate 2D drawings and plans based on project requirements.

- Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and designers to ensure drawings reflect design intent.

- Update and maintain drawing libraries and standards.

- Perform quality checks to ensure compliance with industry and company specifications.

- Assist in preparing construction documents and technical submittals.

- Conduct site visits during construction, keeping accurate measurements, field notes, and sketches.

- Creation of main as-built drawings, as well as service records, through AutoCAD.

Qualifications:

- Degree or technical certification in drafting, engineering technology, or related field preferred.

- One year of professional drafting experience- preferred.

- Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD; experience with Civil 3D, or other CAD tools is a plus.

- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. This is an onsite position.

- Strong math skills and high attention for detail

- Proficient in Microsoft Excel

- Valid driver’s license
