CAD Designer/Drafter

The CAD Designer/Drafter will be responsible for creating technical drawings and plans using computer-aided design (CAD) software. Precision and attention to detail will be crucial in producing accurate drawings that adhere to industry standards.

- Develop detailed drawings for mechanical components and systems based on specifications provided by engineers and designers.

- Collaborate with engineers and other team members to ensure that designs meet technical requirements and standards.

- Revise drawings as necessary to incorporate feedback and ensure accuracy.

- Create schematics, layouts, and diagrams for various projects.

- Assist in the development of prototypes and models.

- Maintain documentation of all drawings and revisions.

Requirements

Education & Experience:

- Experience in building and assembling mechanical components.

- Proficiency in CAD Software such as SolidWorks, Pro/ENGINEER, MicroStation, and inventor.

- Experience working as an AutoCAD drafter required.

- Bachelors’ degree in engineering, computer science, or related field preferred.

Skills & Abilities

- Strong understanding of technical writing and codes standards.

- Knowledge of mechanical engineering principles.

- Ability to interpret and create mechanical design drawings.

- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Work Environment

- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time.

- This position requires the employee to be present in the office, and therefore, attendance is an essential function of the position.
