Enable the company to install its wind, gas and electric facilities across private property, railroads and governmental lands by acquiring the right of way easements and permits for such installations or by purchasing real estate for the placement of utility facilities such as electric substations, gas regulator stations and generation facilities.
Determines ownership of properties the company needs to purchase or on which the company needs right of way by performing title searches of property.
Prepares documents necessary for the acquisition of easements, fee title, permits and other rights of way to permit the construction of company facilities.
Negotiates for acquisition of easements, fee title, permits and other land rights. Settles property owner damage claims that result from construction on utility rights of way.
Handle multiple issues and projects concurrently using exceptional organizational skills.
Rents or leases company property held for future use. Purchase property for company use and sell excess company property.
Perform due diligence responsibilities related to the acquisition of wind generation projects.
Maintains files of easements and other real estate documents. Provide technical input to assist in development of project planning.
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent related work experience. (Typically six years of related, progressive work experience would be needed for candidates applying for this position who do not possess a bachelor's degree.)
Four years of related work experience required for the agent position.
Six or more years of related work experience required for the sr. agent position.
Knowledge of real estate law and land surveying principals Influencing skills to negotiate and persuade PC skills and available for overnight travel Effective oral and written communication skills. Effective analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and projects concurrently.
