Assoc Software Engineer

Consumers Energy is Michigan’s largest energy provider, providing natural gas and/or electricity to 6.8 million of the state’s 10 million residents in all 68 Lower Peninsula counties. This position is onsite minimally 3 days a week at One Energy Plaza located in Jackson, MI. The selected candidate must be within a commutable distance or willing to relocate (relocation package is available for those that qualify).

General Summary Of Job Responsibilities

The Associate Software Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining software applications and systems. This role involves utilizing programming languages and development tools to build solutions that align with user needs and business objectives. The engineer collaborates with cross-functional teams including other developers, designers, and product managers to ensure software is functional, scalable, and reliable.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

Education/Experience

+ [OR] Associate's degree in computer, engineering or related discipline with two (2) or more years of relevant coding experience + [OR] High School Diploma/GED with four (4)  or more years of relevant coding experience
