The Tradesmen Group, LLC, headquartered in Plain City, Ohio,is seeking a highly qualified and self-motivated Assistant Conservator, who is passionate about historic restoration, to join our team. Candidate must have a 4-year degree in Historic Preservation, Conservation or related field and demonstrated experience working on materials conservation projects. Must be willing to travel.

As a full-service building rehabilitation/restoration company, TTG self-performs multiple trades including all aspects of historic masonry restoration, roofing, architectural metals, carpentry, painting & more.
· Willingness to travel for extended periods to various project sites throughout the United States.
· Performs field condition assessments on a variety of architectural and artistic materials.
· Investigates modes of material deterioration and documents observations in written, photographic, and digital formats.
· Contributes to company development of conservation treatment approach protocols.
· Prepares condition reports, treatment reports, and maintenance programs under the guidance of conservation management.
· Organizes company resources and technology required to successfully execute conservation scopes of work.
· Conducts hands-on implementation of conservation scopes of work on projects in accordance with project specifications and professional standards.
· Actively collaborates with project management team, site personnel, clients, contractors, and vendors to ensure projects are completed according to project specification, schedule, and budget.
· Provides timely reporting to project management team on scope progress, schedule estimates, and project conditions.
· Master’s degree in Historic Preservation, Conservation, or related field.
· Demonstrated experience working on materials conservation projects.
· Comfortable working outside at heights on scaffolding or aerial lifts.
