Assistant Project Manager – Traveling

Our goal is to be dedicated to solving complex problems for our customers across the nation. We are currently seeking motivated and enthusiastic Assistant Project Manager (APM) for our operations team. RNWBL works in all sections of solar including Utility & Commercial.
Assistant Project Managers are integral members of our filed crews who work in a team environment servicing utility scale equipment. Assistant Project Managers and their teams ensure accurate and timely work, manage all daily work orders and service tickets on project and specifics, and utilize best safety practices. Assistant Project Managers are responsible for ensuring the company’s strategies are always the top priority for all work.
Responsibilities:
•Assist Project Manager establishing the project goals, developing and updating the schedule, daily reporting, projects tracking.
•Maintain accurate reports and preparing quantity reports, analyzing the labor hours spent on tasks.
•Establishing, maintaining and leading the reports and tracking of all on-site Total Quality Management process
•Manage the preparation and executing of the Project closeout process
•Implement all applicable safety and EEO/affirmative action programs
•Maintain high levels of communication and feedback within the service organization; prepare daily updates of work completed, problems identified, and future timelines
•Commercial EH&S / OSHA compliance
•Construction and Installation regulatory compliance
•Exercise discretion and independent judgment while overseeing field service work and successful completion of work orders as they relate to inspections or campaigns
•Evaluate the work of technicians and electricians to provide site performance reviews
•Work with Engineering and Training departments to ensure effective processes are in place
•Other duties as assigned.
Educational, professional and/or other requirements:
•Advanced knowledge of construction principles/practices required
•Ability to manage voluminous amounts of data
•Recent training and current certification as required in OSHA / NFPA 70E / Safety experience with PV systems
•Excellent computer skills especially using Excel, Outlook, and Word
•Excellent written and verbal skills both from a technical and client facing perspective
•Excellent customer service skills
•Regular, reliable and predictable attendance required
· Geographically mobile and able to travel nationwide to support solar projects. Full Time Travel Position. Must be able to work overtime, have flexible hours, travel to jobsites & stay out for 6 weeks at a time or as required.
· Strong work ethic and desire to work in a team environment
· Demonstrated track record of job-site safety excellence
· Required clearance of a background check and DMV record.
· Ability to innovate and improve operations and solve complex problems.
· High integrity and energy a must!
Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to do the following:
•Must have full range or mobility in upper and lower body; ability to work in various positions & environments, including, but not limited to, stooping, standing, bending, sitting, kneeling and squatting for extended periods of time.
•Ability to lift, pull and push materials and equipment weighing approximately 50 pounds on a frequent basis.
•Working conditions require being exposed to outdoor weather conditions.
Desired Qualifications:
•Degree in Construction Management, Engineering or related field required (Or relevant verifiable experience may be accepted)
•3-5 years construction experience with solar/energy projects
