Job Summary:

The Production Technician Assistant supports the daily operations of our GFRC (Glass Fiber Reinforced Concrete) manufacturing facility. This entry-level role involves assisting skilled technicians in various stages of GFRC production, including mixing, molding, finishing, and handling materials. The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn specialized GFRC processes. This position is critical in maintaining production flow, ensuring product quality, and upholding safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Production Support:

•

Assist in the preparation and handling of raw materials used in GFRC production, including batching and mixing.

•

Support mold setup, release, and cleaning procedures under technician supervision.

•

Help with demolding and handling of cured GFRC products with care to prevent damage.

•

Perform basic finishing tasks such as patching, sanding, and surface touch-ups.

•

Move materials and finished products safely within the production facility.

Quality & Safety:

•

Follow established work instructions and standard operating procedures to maintain consistent product quality.

•

Conduct visual inspections for defects and report quality concerns to supervisors.

•

Adhere to company safety protocols, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).

•

Participate in daily safety meetings and contribute to maintaining a clean and organized work area.

Team Collaboration:

•

Work collaboratively with production technicians and team leads to meet daily production goals.

•

Communicate promptly about equipment issues, material shortages, or process deviations.

•

Support cross-functional tasks as needed, including cleaning, maintenance assistance, and inventory checks.

Skills & Qualifications:

•

High school diploma or GED preferred.

•

Previous experience in a manufacturing or construction environment is a plus but not required.

•

Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs., standing for extended periods, bending, and manual dexterity.

•

Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and basic measurement equipment.

•

Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.

•

Willingness to learn GFRC-specific techniques and processes.

•

Reliable attendance and punctuality.

•

Positive attitude, adaptability, and teamwork-oriented mindset.

•

Basic understanding of workplace safety practices.

Work Environment:

•

Exposure to a manufacturing environment with varying temperatures, dust, and noise.

•

Use of PPE, including safety glasses, gloves, masks, and hearing protection as required.

•

Fast-paced production schedule with daily, hands-on physical work.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour
