Assembly Worker

Harris Fabrication, a trusted name in metal fabrication in Topeka, Kansas, is looking for a motivated and reliable Assembler to join our growing manufacturing team. As an Assembler, you’ll be responsible for putting together metal components and parts into complete assemblies that meet our high standards. You’ll ensure everything fits properly and is suitable for final quality inspection. This role is essential to keeping our production process running smoothly.

Responsibilities:

- Assemble metal parts and components using hand tools, power tools, and shop equipment

- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and work instructions

- Inspect parts and assemblies for quality assurance and fit

- Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean work environment

- Work closely with welders, machinists, and other fabrication team members

- Support manufacturing and production goals through reliable and efficient work

- Take precision measurements to ensure perfect fit of components

- Select or modify components according to measurements and specifications

- Align material and put together parts to build more complex units

Qualifications:

- Previous experience in assembly, manufacturing, or metal fabrication preferred

- Ability to read and understand technical drawings or blueprints

- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality

- Good manual dexterity and mechanical aptitude

- Dependable, punctual, and a team player

- Willingness to learn and grow with the company

- Comprehensive understanding of quality control principles
