Reporting to the Director of Engineering, we are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assembly, Integration, & Test (AI&T) engineer. You will play a crucial role in shaping our technical development efforts and our path to space. As an early member of our team, you will have the opportunity to grow your role and to create a foundational function of the company as we grow.

Location

- Broomfield, CO (near CO-121 and US-36)

Responsibilities (including but not limited to)

- Lead payload assembly, integration and test (AI&T) activities at the Broomfield, CO site

- Hands-on assembly of Volta's payload and components

- Perform functional checks/tests and support integration with Volta's spacecraft partner

- Plan and lead test campaigns from the component-level to full end-to-end, operational system testing

- Support development of requirements and test software

- Assist with the development of engineering processes; emphasis on the ability to balance best practices with the needs and resources of a startup

- Collaborate with a geographically distributed and international team

- You must self-engage, be hands-on with a strong desire and proven ability to thrive within a fast-paced, sometimes unscripted, startup environment

Qualifications

- BS in Engineering, Physics, or a related technical field (MS or PhD preferred)

- 5+ years of experience with assembly, integration, and test engineering

- Experience with:

- Demonstrated bias for action and ownership mindset

- Impeccable integrity, ethics, and interpersonal skills

- Eligibility to obtain or possession of a U.S. security clearance

- Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum
