Job Description:

The Application Systems Analyst / Programmer will analyze and enhance data exports from an IBM AS400 (iSeries) system to support operational needs. This role requires strong AS400 expertise, data analysis skills, and the ability to develop new export processes when existing files are insufficient.

Responsibilities:

- Analyze flat files exported from AS400 systems for usability in operational workflows.

- Identify gaps or issues in current export structures and recommend solutions.

- Design and develop new export files if necessary, ensuring compatibility with downstream systems.

- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand operational requirements and data needs.

- Perform testing and validation of new or modified export processes.

- Document technical specifications and procedures for future reference.

- Ensure compliance with state IT standards and requirements.

- Participate in project work as directed by the program manager and project management team.

Required Skills:

- Experience with IBM AS400 (iSeries) and data export processes.

- Proficiency in RPG, SQL, CL, and other AS400 programming languages.

- Strong understanding of flat file structures and data transformation.

- Ability to troubleshoot and optimize data workflows.

- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
