Job Summary:
We are seeking three (3) highly skilled and experienced Architectural Technologists with expertise in retail, liquor or cannabis store design to join our team. This role will be dedicated to providing CAD drafting, modelling and project services. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing construction working drawings, fixture layout plans, reflected ceiling plans, as-built drawings, and renderings, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery of projects.
- Prepare construction working drawings, fixture layout plans, site measurements and verification, reflected ceiling plans, millwork, metal shelving, refrigeration, and signage drawings.
- Utilize Autodesk products in design, production and deliverables
- Provide CAD deliverables in accordance with predetermined schedules, as mutually agreed upon.
- Visit project locations throughout Ontario to audit existing site conditions or to obtain/verify site information/measurements, as needed.
- Attend meetings with project coordinators to review the scope of work of the projects assigned and to review the status of ongoing projects.
- Ensure all drawings and services are checked for accuracy prior to delivery. Correct errors identified by the project team at the company's cost.
- Perform drawing conversion and archiving duties
- Perform plotting and scanning duties.
- Assemble tender specifications/scope of work packages.
- Assist with building permit application submissions.
- Coordinate other project-related services/consultant(s), as requested.
- Minimum of Seven (7) years of experience in architectural design, drafting and 3D modelling.
- Experience with interior design projects.
- Experience with performing hands-on, site measurements.
- Proven experience with as-built drawings, tenant improvement projects, and new builds.
- Experience with retail, liquor or cannabis store design an asset.
- Proficiency in Autodesk's suite of software.
- Knowledge of construction practices, including electrical, mechanical, structural, design, and project management aspects.
- Familiarity with current industry standards and building codes.
- Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and quality control.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Willingness to travel within the province of Ontario, as needed.
