Position Summary:
The SharePoint Architect is responsible to lead the design, development, and implementation of enterprise-wide SharePoint solutions. This role will also support strategic data initiatives and modernizing collaboration platforms.
- Design scalable and secure SharePoint environments (Online and/or On-Premises).
- Define architecture plans, governance models, and taxonomy strategies.
- Recommend and implement third-party tools or custom solutions to enhance platform capabilities.
- Partner with senior leadership to develop and implement a comprehensive Data Governance Program, as then align SharePoint architecture to the program.
- Lead full lifecycle deployment and migration projects to SharePoint Online.
- Build custom web parts, workflows, and dashboards using Power Platform tools (Power Automate, PowerApps, Power BI).
- Develop and maintain SharePoint applications using PowerShell and Python to interact with SharePoint using PNP MS Graph or other APIs.
- Collaborate with the Data Technology and Digital Security Teams to establish and enforce governance policies for access control, document management, and data retention, as well as ensure compliance with regulatory requirement.
- Engage with stakeholders to understand collaboration needs and translate them into technical solution.
- Educate both IT staff and business users on best practices and established procedures for data management within the SharePoint environment.
- Provide advanced support and resolve complex SharePoint-related issues.
- Maintain effective working relationships with employees and customers at all levels within LCEC. Ensure smooth operations, productive communications, and effective understanding during all interpersonal contacts. Provide current and accurate information to all requesters, courteously and in a timely manner.
- Support Storm Restoration efforts when needed. Work in emergency storm situations (i.e. hurricanes) and work long hours (>12 hours per day) for many continuous days/weeks as needed.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's Degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. (Required)
- Minimum five (5) years of hands-on experience in SharePoint architecture, development, and administration. (Required)
- Demonstrated success in migrating enterprise environments to SharePoint Online. (Required)
- Expert skills in SharePoint Online and On-Premises. (Required)
- Advanced skill in Power Platform. (Required)
- Advanced skill in Azure AD. (Required)
- Intermediate skill in PowerShell, Python, JSON, and REST APIs. (Required)
- Expert skills in Groups and Teams (Microsoft 365, SharePoint, and Active Directory). (Required)
- Basic to intermediate knowledge of Data Governance. (Required)
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Purview. (Required)
- Working knowledge of SQL Server, Teams, MongoDB and Power BI – Strong Understanding. (Required)
- Solid understanding of digital security fundamentals. (Required)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. (Required)
- Excellent communication and documentation skills. (Required)
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent priorities and meet deadlines. (Required)
