Our Services Division has one of the largest fleets of mechanic service trucks in Western Canada, operated by one of the most experienced teams of heavy duty mechanics, with coverage across Alberta reaching into Saskatchewan and British Columbia. Our Structures Division is a premium manufacturer of polyurethane panel buildings and distributor of wholesale polyurethane panels for the oilfield and construction industries with coverage across Canada and USA.

APPRENTICE NATURAL GAS FIELD TECHNICIANS

and

EXPERIENCED JOURNEYMAN NATURAL GAS FIELD TECHNICIANS

These positions are currently open in the following branch:

Stettler

Position Summary:

Reporting to the Branch Manager, this position is responsible for the service and repair of various natural gas engine and compressor packages, along with pumps and other rotating equipment both in field and in shop. Vortex is seeking a reliable candidate who is willing and able to use commitment and innovation to drive our organization towards success.

Responsibilities:

- Natural gas engine and screw compressor, pump and rotating equipment maintenance, trouble shooting, and overhauls as required

- Maintain a respectful relationship with customers

- Ensure accurate and timely completion of work orders

- Follow and enforce safe work procedures in the workplace

Qualifications:

- Apprentice or Journeyman Heavy Equipment Certificate and/or Apprentice or Journeyman Millwright Certificate and/or Apprentice or Journeyman Automotive Tech

- A minimum of 5 years industry experience for journeyman positions

- Natural gas compression experience is an asset

- Highly motivated with strong interpersonal and communication skills

- Ability to organize, multi-task and prioritize jobs and tasks accordingly

- All required safety tickets
