Role and Scope of Position:
This position is responsible for facilitating Eversource to meet their regulatory obligations in Connecticut, New Hampshire, and Massachusetts, as established by law and by CT Public Utility and Regulatory Authority, Public Utilities Commission, and The Department of Public Utilities decisions and orders.
We have an exciting hybrid opportunity to join our fast-paced Regulatory Projects team! This role will specialize in participating in the development and implementation of regulatory policies related to state and/or federal regulatory proceedings in jurisdictions where the Companies operate. The Regulatory Projects Analyst will be actively involved in the formation, support, and implementation of regulatory initiatives. Daily activities include the coordination of activities between other internal regulatory support functions and Eversource’s functional business units along with the preparation of, and monitoring of filings of various applications with regulatory bodies. This role will provide technical regulatory support to internal business partners as well as communicate with both internal and external parties regarding regulatory proceedings.

The role is hybrid and will be based in either Berlin CT or Westwood, MA.
- Manages daily regulatory and docket administration activities to ensure deadlines are known and met
- Coordinates various regulatory filings in multiple state and/or federal jurisdictions
- Maintains knowledge of industry trends, proven management practices and industry-related legislation and regulation
- Continually reassess workload and priorities to ensure time-sensitive deliverables and deadlines are met.
- Supports a productive, engaging, and inclusive work environment in which open communication is encouraged and obstacles to open communication are addressed quickly

- Knowledge of Retail and FERC regulatory policies and practices
- Previous work in a Utility regulatory environment.
- Understanding of Utility ratemaking processes; Utility organizational structure and functions; Utility accounting and finance
- Ability and willingness to support internal business partners as they work with regulatory agencies, commissions, courts, and public forums
- Strong functional understanding of computerized business systems (Caseworks, Sharepoint, Outlook, Microsoft Office, etc.)
- Ability to use judgement and provide guidance based upon expertise
- Extremely strong collaborative skills including the ability to build coalitions and work effectively in highly strategic and political environments
- Strong customer service orientation
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications, or Law Degree preferred
- Positions available for both entry-level and experienced analysts
