The Financial Analyst 2-4, Financial Forecasting helps support the Company’s financial forecast and outlook including the development of the monthly forecasting processes, performing forward looking financial analysis to include development of proforma financial statements and ad hoc financial impact modeling of potential business decisions that influence the current fiscal year. This position will support the Company’s proprietary cash flow model and help craft various presentations. In addition, support of the Corporate Finance & Long-Range Planning as needed is critical for this role. This position reports directly to the Manager of Financial Forecasting
Assists on daily and monthly activities related to cash flow model and/or new technology, learns and executes on changes requested from FS Leaderships, and drafts procedures around recurring processes.
Supports the preparation of financial slides and other materials that are presented to the CEO Direct Reports, the Board of Trustees, and City of San Antonio staff.
Supports the production of the Sales Package, Model Rollover, and other City Reports.
Provides analytical support on key trends and drivers behind the monthly and quarterly financials. Assesses current and future business risk and communicates recommendations on outlook changes to management.
Supports analytics, initiatives and ad hoc projects as needed from the Corporate Finance & Long-Range Planning
Collaborates with other areas including Strategic Pricing, Debt Management, BAMR, Demand Side, Supply Side and Commercial Analytics teams to understand key financial drivers impacting the fiscal year.
Organize FP&A server to facilitate document and data retrieval. Serves as a trusted advisor and liaison to the business unit budget teams and leadership.
Create and maintain procedures and internal control documents.
Performs other duties and serves on special project teams as assigned.
Minimum SkillsAccountant/analyst experience in a field supporting and providing technical and analytical solutions.
Knowledge of accounting/analyst experience in a field supporting and providing financial and operational solutions.
Relative experiences in financial/project management for Operational Units.
Understands processes and procedures in specialized field.
