Overview
The ADMS system environment is a high-availability configuration with complex technology configurations of servers, networks, and security devices and is both a mission critical and highly regulated area of the business. This position provides basic technical support for microprocessor based industrial control systems, applications, and technologies in a Microsoft and Linux operating system environment for LGE-KU Advanced Distribution Management System (ADMS). The ADMS system is operated as one system that provides Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) for the company's Industrial Control assets in the delivery and management of electric power. The position is responsible for ADMS System maintenance, support, troubleshooting, security and compliance with regulatory standards, project work, and 24 x 7 x 365 on-call support (including storm support).
1. Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science; or an equivalent combination of education and experience on a year-for-year basis is required.
2.1+ years of basic understanding of network, security, operating systems, patching, backup and recovery, and other technology skills relevant to the ADMS control system.
1. A successful academic or work background indicating a demonstrated ability to absorb information, conceptual skills in practical applications, solve business and technology problems, achieve desired results in a highly technical, high availability, high visibility, and highly regulated, operating environment. Industry certifications in programming, security, processes, databases, networking, operating systems, auditing, and/or compliance desirable.
